The name says it all: after setting off in Temse, this route leads you along the most beautiful mud flats and salt marshes in the Waasland region. Enjoy the dreamy views of lakes and grasslands, and definitely bring your binoculars, as birds from all over the world also visit here.

  • In De Bunt, which is located on both the Scheldt and the Durme, a controlled flood plain with reduced tides is currently being constructed; with an inlet and outlet sluice, a ring dike and an overflow dike. This prevents passage for cyclists and hikers. Bike nodes 74 and 77 are accessible via node 78. Hiking nodes 132 and 135 can then be reached again via nodes 136 and 178. Hiking node 134 is currently inaccessible!
